Part 141 Pathway

Our path to Part 141

What Part 141 is, why we are pursuing it, and what it means for students enrolling today.

The Regulation

What Part 141 is

Title 14 CFR Part 141 is the FAA regulation governing approved flight and ground schools. Unlike Part 61, which sets individual certification requirements, Part 141 governs the school itself. To operate under Part 141, a school must:

  • Submit a training course outline (TCO) to the FAA for approval
  • Demonstrate adequate facilities, equipment, and instructor qualifications
  • Maintain student training records and submit to periodic FAA inspection
  • Conduct stage checks at defined curriculum checkpoints
  • Follow an FAA-approved syllabus with no material deviations
14 CFR Part 141 · Pilot Schools

Part 141 approval is voluntary for ground schools operating under Part 61. Schools pursue it because it demonstrates a higher level of curriculum accountability and FAA oversight — not because it is required.

Our Reasoning

Why we are pursuing it

We are pursuing Part 141 approval because it holds us to a higher documented standard. FAA review of our curriculum means an external authority has confirmed that our training meets federal requirements — not just our own judgment.

We believe students deserve that level of accountability from their ground school. Pursuing Part 141 is not a marketing decision. It is an operational one.

For Current Students

What this means for you

Students enrolling today are not beta testers. Our curriculum was built to meet and exceed Part 141 knowledge standards from the start. The primary difference between our current Part 61 operation and a Part 141 program is administrative: FAA approval of our training course outline, and stage check documentation. The knowledge content you receive is the same.

When Part 141 approval is granted, current students will receive documentation confirming they completed training under a Part 141-standard curriculum.

Application in preparation

We are currently operating under Part 61 and preparing our Part 141 application package. This includes finalizing our training course outline (TCO), facility documentation, and instructor qualification records. We expect to submit our application in 2026.

This page will be updated as our application progresses.
