Using Pilot Standard Ground School

This guide covers the common first steps for students, CFIs, and school operators. It explains where each workflow starts and what records the platform keeps.

Getting Started

New accounts see a welcome flow that asks whether their first priority is student training, CFI work, or school operations. Invitation links can bypass the welcome flow so invited users land directly in the action they were asked to complete.

Student quick start

  • Enroll in a course from the pricing page, then open Student Dashboard to start or resume lessons.
  • Use My instructors to review active CFI links and pending instructor invitations.
  • Download tracked endorsement templates from the dashboard after your CFI generates them.

CFI quick start

  • Add CFI credentials from Account before linking students or applying for verification.
  • Open CFI Dashboard to accept school invitations, review student requests, and manage active students.
  • Generate endorsement templates from a linked student's detail page after eligibility is confirmed.

School owner quick start

  • Create a school record, invite CFIs, and manage the school's active instructor roster from School Dashboard.
  • Use School Settings for school profile updates and chief instructor assignment.
  • School ownership transfer, deletion, and role-management actions require deliberate confirmation when available.

Common actions

Training records and legal documents

Endorsement PDFs generated by the platform are templates. A CFI must sign the printed endorsement in pen for legal validity. Course progress, CFI links, school affiliations, and verification records are retained according to the platform retention rules.

Need help with account changes?

If you need an email address change, account merge, or record correction, contact the school operator. Administrative changes are handled deliberately because they affect training records and audit history.
