Peter "Niko" Stavros

Peter "Niko" Stavros is the founder of Pilot Standard Ground School and a flight instructor with Part 61, Part 91, and Part 141 experience. He has more than 1,200 hours of total flight time, including more than 700 hours of dual instruction given across primary and instrument training environments. Before aviation, he served as a full-time firefighter and later developed an Aircraft Emergency Training Program that trained more than 800 first responders in aircraft systems, hazard mitigation, and coordinated emergency response. His instruction is direct, calm, and practical. Students are taught to think ahead of the aircraft, manage workload, understand systems and weather, and control risk before it compounds.

Pete Stavros

Pete Stavros is an Airline Transport Pilot and CFI with military and Part 121 experience and more than 10,000 hours of flight time. He teaches from the standpoint of a current line pilot and brings airline-level standards into the training environment, including crew resource management, standard briefings, workload control, and the disciplined decision process expected of a captain in a high-consequence operation.
